Biophilic Design Certificate

  • Ecosa Institute 1169 South Huron Street Denver, CO, 80223 United States (map)

Join the Biophilic Design Community for their workshop at Ecosa’s Community Room.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of biophilic design principles and their application to projects, spaces, or problems. This certificate program provides a framework for evaluating which biophilic strategies are most suitable for your specific space, moving beyond a simple checklist approach to cultivate a genuine connection to nature through design.

We will guide you through the biophilic framework using an existing site, allowing you to then apply these principles to your own projects, spaces, and ideas. The goal of this activity is to uncover important and meaningful insights about the project and place, informing the biophilic design strategies. By understanding what is critical to the location and its unique traditions and features, your designs will feel authentically "of the place," leading to more effective biophilic design outcomes. By the end of this program, you will be proficient in creating and identifying biophilic design strategies and utilizing the biophilic design framework.
