WHERE HOPE
becomes action
Welcome to the Ecosa Institute
The Ecosa Institute is a nonprofit educational organization focused on promoting regenerative design practices within the built environment that integrate environmental responsibility, human well-being, and ecological principles.
Our programs train students, professionals, and community members in regenerative design, ecological thinking, and how to adapt to climate change. We’re looking for people with a passion for making a difference and a willingness to work for change. If this is you, welcome to a pioneering new way of learning. Come join us in imagining a new world of possibilities.
Mission & Vision
The Ecosa Mission
To teach regenerative design and ecological principles that align human aspirations with nature’s systems, empowering students to create resilient and responsible solutions through integrated education.
The Ecosa Vision
To cultivate a community of visionary thinkers who design with nature and challenge convention.
The Three Pillars of the Ecosa Institute
Represented by our mascots, the Ecosa Institute is built upon knowledge, design, and hope. Through our different programs and resources, Ecosa provides education about ecological design via a systems-thinking approach. Our belief is that by gaining the knowledge to design a better world, it will provide the hope we need to adapt to climate change.
Educational Programs
Climate change can leave us feeling overwhelmed and powerless. Ecosa is creating more opportunities for people of all ages to learn, build skills, connect, and take action.
High School Design Program | Immersive learning. Real-world skills.
Our summer program introduces high school students to regenerative and ecological design through hands-on projects and a design certificate. Students explore biomimicry, architecture, passive design, natural building, ecology, regenerative systems, conservation, permaculture, and more while developing workforce skills for a changing climate.
Middle School Ecological Camps | Explore. Create. Discover.
During spring and fall breaks, students dive into biomimicry and natural materials through full-day camps featuring field trips, hands-on projects, and immersive learning.
Workshops & Lectures | Skills for a changing world.
Specialized workshops and lectures for college students and professionals in architecture, planning, and landscape design. Topics include green building techniques, water conservation, energy efficiency, permaculture, and climate adaptation.
Community Action | Learn. Connect. Take action.
Accessible programs for community members explore ecological design and practical ways to adapt to climate change, bringing knowledge and tangible action into homes, neighborhoods, and communities.
